What have your lights done?

Don’t come crying to me!
When I was in Dallas I heard all about how when LED lighting first came onto the market the Chinese thought that close was good enough when it came to drivers. I heard countless stories from electricians about how they would install all of these LED lights and after a few months the lights would go out. The drivers would go out. These electricians would have to replace the LED lights and then the manufacturers would improve their drivers and these electricians would have to go back in and put in the new LED lighting products. Those manufactures who survived those turbulent times learned their lessons. They have five and even ten year warrantees. Then I came down here to the Rio Grande Valley and there isn’t that history but substandard products are getting into the market. Distributors and electricians are wary of unproven products, especially LED tubes. Valley LED have nearly 60 proven LED lighting manufactures. What bothers me is that there are still electricians buying crap on line. Then it really kills me when I hear that an electrician I have been generating quotes for goes with some cheap, substandard product and some other electrician gets called to turn the lights back on and I get to hear all about how “LED isn’t proven”. I just tell them “They didn’t buy it from me!” I have this to say to those electricians who think you are going to make your fortune by saving a couple of dollars by buying on line, you need to factor the business you are going to lose because that cheap product failed. Then when you come to me asking for a break to match your substandard product, this is what I want you to do, ask your source for a list of customers who have used their products and are pleased with the result. All you have to do is ask me and I can give you plenty of examples just for LED City from the Denton Airport, the Dr. Pepper Stars Ice Rink, Sonic Drive through Restaurants, Military bases and water plants all over Texas. Global Tech LED has the University of Missouri Aquatic Center and Notre Dame high school football stadium. In fact it would be easier to give me your project and ask for a case study or one of Valley LED’s manufactures similar projects.
